This was also one of the teapots that I did in the series based on trees. It was the last one I made and I decided to treat it as more of a canvas for creating a landscape of trees. I enjoy the process of using slip to lighten the clay body. This was one of the first few pieces I experimented with slipping and then adding color on top. This process felt like painting.

Ceramic Tree Teapot
This is one of the teapots that I made for a series dealing with the idea of trees. It was the first one I invisioned. I saw this as more of the literal interpretation of a tree. It was the first in the series.

Rayden's Ceramic Tile
This is one of my favorite wall hanger tiles that I made for my baby nephew. I made it when he was in the hospital going through his rough first couple months and his heart surgery.

Introduction
This blog is being started for a class but I hope to continue on after the class adding some of the art I have created in college. I might add some after graduation that is yet to be determined. I just feel like my friends and family haven't had the chance to really see what I have been working on these last few years.
For those of you that do not know my name is Andrea Stith. I am minoring in studio art and find all aspects of art very interesting. My main focuses while on campus have been ceramics, installation art, and here at the end painting. I hope you all enjoy.
